Tonga.Online Training Activities in full swing

The first Training of Trainers of Teachers (TOTOT) workshop started today, 1st of December 2008 at Manjolo Secondary School. The participants for this workshop are drawn from Sianzyundu Secondary, Siachilaba Primary, Manjolo Primary and Manjolo Secondary Schools. The participants are being imparted with basic ICT skills to enable them carry out pedagogical training in schools. The workshop runs for three days from the 1st to the 3rd of December 2008.
The other three workshops are lined up as follows.
Binga/Tyunga Cluster: 9th to the 12th of December, 2008. Attendees are: Binga Primary, Binga High, Mucheni Primary, Siabuwa High, and Tyunga Secondary School. Venue is Binga High School.
Lusulu/Kariangwe Cluster: 15th to the 17th of December 2008. Participants are Lusulu and Kariangwe High School. Venue: Lusulu High School.
Tinde/Lubimbi Cluster: 16th to the 18th of December 2008. Attending schools are: Pashu Secondary, Lubimbi Secondary and Tinde High Schools.
Other activities planned for the month of December are: FOSS day on the 13th of December 2008 at Tonga.Online Offices. This aims at educating the general public on the Free Open Source Software, to enable them make informed choices as far as software usage in concerned.
An ITC conference/flat form is also scheduled to take place on the 8th of December, 2008 at Sianzyundu Secondary Schools. On this day, we will witness IT teachers from 14 centres converging together and discussing ICT issues.
