More cultural exchange between Austria and Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s celebrated dance group from Bulawayo, Iyasa, which has been on a four-month tour of Europe, is back in Zimbabwe and is set to release a 10-track album, Ezakhiti. The album, according to the group’s founder and director, Nkululeko Innocent Dube, was done in collaboration with Insingizi, a Zimbabwean musical group based in Austria, as well as a Congolese musician, Papi. The group Insingizi was very popular in the mid-80s in Zimbabwe with their hit song Sugar Daddy. Iyasa’s partnership with its Austrian links, Theatro Piccolo and Dschungel Wien, enabled the group to travel to central Europe. "We are back from a successful four- month tour of central Europe and we visited countries such as Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy. "We managed to work on a musical project with a Zimbabwean group, Insingizi, which is now based in Austria. "We recorded a 10-track album entitled Ezakhiti.
